FAQ

Can we bring our dog to the farm?

We are an operating Farm with a lot of working dogs, therefore we cannot allow to bring your dogs unfortunately.

Do you sell Gift Vouchers?

We offer vouchers with a gift now – book & pay later system.

How does the gift now – book & pay later system work?

To gift this voucher, simply download and print or send it digitally. When the recipient is ready to book, they’ll let you know.

Can I pay for the voucher in advance?

While we used to offer pre-paid vouchers, we’ve found it’s often more convenient to wait until a date is confirmed. This way, you don’t have to worry about paying for a voucher that might go unused!

However, if you’d like to book and pay for a specific date, you’re welcome to do so!

FAQ Multi Day Riding Holiday

None of the offered Dates suit us, can we book another day?

Due to our growing family we limited our offer for this season. However if you are a group of min. 4 people, please send us an Email to discuss additional Dates.

Is this ride suitable for Beginner Rider?

First of all it is important that you are as honest as possible about your level of ability.

In order to fully enjoy the magic of this overnight ride you will need to be either a strong intermediate or an experienced rider with a high level of riding fitness.

Strong intermediate who is currently riding regularly and is comfortable and competent in all three gaits outside of an Arena; able to post or sit to the trot; have an independent seat while cantering (don’t hold onto the saddle).

Advanced a frequent rider who is very fit, comfortable in the saddle for at least 4 hours per day, and has an independent seat and soft hands. Advanced riders are confident on a forward-moving horse at all paces over rough and variable ground on open terrain.

This ride has a number of steep hills and narrow tracks that require a confident rider.

If you used to ride regularly but have not for a few years we strongly recommend building up some saddle hours before the ride. Your bum will thank you later!

Do I need travel insurance?

The short answer – yes. We do recommend a Travel Insurance regardless of whether you’re travelling within your home country or abroad. When selecting a travel insurance policy, we require that at a minimum you are covered for horse riding as an activity, and medical expenses, including emergency repatriation.

When looking for a travel insurance policy, make sure it covers COVID-related changes and cancellations, personal liability, loss of luggage and personal effects, and most importantly cancellation insurance. This will cover cancellation penalties in certain circumstances if you have to cancel your trip unexpectedly due to illness, injury or unforeseen circumstances. Unfortunately, cancellation insurance will not cover you if you change your mind (unless you take the ‘cancel for any reason’ insurance – which we recommend.)

Do you cater for vegetarian / vegan?

We are able to cater for vegetarians. We do advise that you let us know in advance of any specific dietary requirements so we can prepare the appropriate meals.

Unfortunately we are not able to cater for vegans.

FAQ Horse Ride

What happens if I am late?

If you are running late please phone us an hour before the ride and it might be possible for us to delay departure. In the event of other riders being on your ride, if you are late we reserve the right to leave for the ride without you as we should not have to keep other paying customers waiting – and you will not receive a refund.

Depending on how late you are may also affect the length of the trek – as we have to ensure we return with sufficient time to prepare for any additional treks later that day.

What happens if its raining?

All Rides go ahead in moderate Wind and light Rain.

Full Refund if we have to cancell due to very bad weather and rescheduling is not an option for Customers.
